A creative challenge for students from Istituto Marangoni Master in Fashion and Luxury Brand Management
Master’s Programme in fashion and luxury brand management will collaborate in a prestigious business project with the iconic Maison Cartier. The partnership will focus on the development and expansion of Cartier on the Italian market from both commercial and communicative perspectives.
Master students will be tasked with proposing ideas to improve brand visibility both online and offline and to attract new customers, especially younger generations. This exciting challenge will enable them to engage in one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands.

To launch the partnership, Rodolphe Ratzel, responsible for Cartier in southeastern Europe, met the students at the school in Milan. During the meeting Ratzel, who has held various positions within the company, stressed that Cartier’s spirit of excellence must be immediately recognizable in its products, shops and services, reflecting the attention to details that are inseparable from the world of luxury.
Everyone spoke of it because it conveyed a real story and was breathtakingly beautiful. Once you entered the universe of fairy tales, it was impossible to get out of there.
The mission to preserve the heritage of a large fashion house is neither simple nor easy; it requires a huge creative and analytical dynamic, a refined aesthetic sense, openness and a spirit of cooperation. This is where they will have to showcase their creative talent and strategic vision. There must be room for discovery, surprises and pleasure with us. Cartier’s history began in 1847 with founder Louis François Cartier and continued with his sons Alfred and Louis, who expanded the brand’s horizons around the world. Their journey is characterised by a deep appreciation for local cultures that are studied carefully before starting any commercial or brand initiatives. Maison mixes her identity with the cultural heritage of each city and country with which they cooperate, and promotes a harmonious dialogue that respects and celebrates these unique backgrounds.
Rodolphe Ratzel concluded by expressing his positive views on the future of luxury brands. Cartier loves to celebrate and will continue to follow their customers in their most appreciated moments and make sure they remain unforgettable.
